Zázračná Studánka – Place of miracles

Just hop on subway A to Dejvická and skip to bus no. 160 to stop Lysolaje — in half an hour you can be far away from the crowded city centre of Prague in a super-local natural spot among beautiful surroundings. That’s Zázračná Studánka for you.

I have to admit it’s especially refreshing during the hot summer days, but won’t let you down even during spring, fall or winter, because this spot is always open and full of magical water!

You’re thinking “Eh, magical?!” I know, I know, but before you discard this delicious beauty, check the legend out – this miraculous spring’s tradition goes back to the 19th century and further back, when it was an important religious spot for pilgrims coming here from Dejvice. There is even a Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows built by a local couple in 1863 because of the waters magical effect. Just sayin’.

And now the most important thing: the legend says it’s REJUVENATING! I know, this esoteric talk again. Understood! But you never know…

Because it’s still overseen with great care by the Dominican sisters living nearby and tested four times per year, the water is still high quality and super tasty. So bring a bottle or more and fill it up or have at least a sip from a cup sitting on a rock for everyone’s free delight. Enjoy!
