This tallors shop is a hidden gem. The best directions to find it are to head for the National Theatre and then go down an alleyway to the right of the theatre as you look at it. You’ll see a sign for ‘Shtëpia e Modës (‘fashion house’) AS’ over an archway to reassure you that you’re on the right track.
Inside is an old-style tailor’s shop where alterations can be done or very reasonable suits as well as ties made from scratch. You can take your own fabric or choose from their good range of Italian and other fabrics. My partner went in for some simple repairs but caught sight of a rich purple fabric and came out to discover he had ordered himself a fab suit which always gets comments! Expect charm and attention to detail, and get a chance for a bespoke suit at a very reasonable price.
