Located in the middle of Nene Teresa Street/Square (Sheshi in the local language), Half & Half Café is a perfect spot to have a drink. Their design goes with the name as the artwork on the wall is half-covered with a splash of paint. Their tables and chairs are quite comfortable and tiny glass flowerpots hang down on them from the ceiling. Whenever I go to the theater, cinema or library in the center, I enjoy stopping by this cafe for a tea, beer or vanilla drink. It is also a place where I can sit back and watch people walk up and down the square. It is very likely I will see a friend or acquaintance.
They serve a wide range of drinks and some desserts. Especially their espresso and Americano coffee are my preferences. Even though it’s mostly crowded, the staff is very attentive and polite. The prices are quite reasonable as well. An Americano coffee is 1€, a small macchiato (no 1 for locals) is 0.80€, a small beer is 1.5€ and a glass of wine 2€.
There will be mostly young but also old locals enjoying their macchiato e madhe (big macchiato). Join them and chill out in the heart of the city.
