The National Theater is one of the three theaters in Prishtina. It is the oldest, with the largest building and with the most comfortable chairs. In some places, access to cultural events such as theaters costs a lot of money, but not in Prishtina. To see a play costs 3€, or if you are a student, the ticket is 1€. On Thursday it’s ballet night, and unless it is a premiere, then it’s for free.
There is just one detail that is a little annoying: every play starts with a 15-20min delay, but after that, I’ve seen some very powerful acting happening on that stage. An interesting element that I have come across in a few plays is that they have English surtitles, so language is no barrier. There are international plays from time to time.
Theater was never an idea that I regretted.
