Tartine is a place of delicacies on the hidden street behind the bars on Fehmi Agani Street in the center. In order to get there, follow the narrow way opposite the Croatian Embassy between Kafja e Vogel and Che Bar on Fehmi Agani. When you see Beer Garden at the end, turn right and you will see Tartine on your left after 20m.
It is one of my favorite cafes in the city as it is run by two creative and hardworking women and they serve a special menu that you cannot find in other places. Their tartines, homemade bread, homemade soups, quiches, homemade cakes/tarts, ginger lattes, fresh lemonades, salads are all prepared so delicately that the first thing I enjoy is the sight of the food. Personally, I love their carrot soup, avocado and chickpea salad, their apple-spiced hummus and lemonade. Their desserts are quite famous as well. One of the best things about this place is they always create something new depending on what’s in season.
They have a beautiful garden decorated with flowers, plant and bikes, where you can enjoy your food and/or drink at wooden tables. Inside, the place is quite cozy and pleasant. Besides that, the staff is super nice and friendly. I love going there on Saturday or Sunday for brunch and also when they have wine-tasting events.
It is closed on Mondays and from Tuesday to Sunday they are open from 8:00 to 18:00.
