Andalūzijas Suns (Dog of Andalusia) is another great part of Bergs Bazaar (check out the Bergs Bazaar article). A very democratic place indeed, with a light touch of industrial design in its premises and a very warm and cozy atmosphere. It’s been here in Riga for ages, getting better and better over the years.

I’ve been there dozens of times but I discovered Andalūzijas Suns in a new way some years ago, after visiting an annual event – “Prose Readings“. A part of this heartwarming happening was held at Andalūzijas Suns, in the style of Sunday brunch. I remember sitting there by the large windows together with other fans of literature, sipping my cup of hot coffee and enjoying the games, late morning sunlight mixed with the readings from prose authors. That was a true delight.

On the other hand, Andalūzijas Suns is a great place to have a date with friends for some nice conversations and a glass of something, and the really delicious Tex-Mex they serve. If you enjoy gin like I do, don’t pass this spot as they have a wide selections of this classic liquor from around the world.
