Dining by yourself may not seem as bad if you just choose the right place for it. There are times for all of us when a time spent alone is just what’s needed and what better way to enjoy it than by a great meal.
It seems to me that Austra is the right place for this kind of scenario. Maybe it is the fact it opened just recently or maybe it is the calm and laid back attitude coming from the staff that makes Austra seems such a peaceful place.
The first couple of minutes after coming in are already a pleasure for the eyes. The rather simple interior leaves enough space for people, conversations and food, which is something I highly enjoyed during my dining experience. The menu is quite short, however I never felt like something was missing. Year old recipes adjusted to the wishes of modern day foodies is its biggest advantage and from all three dishes I tried, there was none that disappointed.
Sweets are never something I consider extremely enjoyable, however this time the dessert was my personal favourite. Homemade whipped cream together with cherry sauce and chunks of chocolate as sweet as a childhood memory turned out to be an excellent finale for an already pleasant evening.
