Bakery “Franču maize” is well known by the locals living nearby, including me, for using their own recipes, for providing us with incredibly tasty pastry on a daily basis. The place is one of the rare ones nowadays that does not pretend to be posh, hip, trendy etc. It is just as casual as one can be. Letting all the energy to be focused on the most important things – well-made confectionery. One will find a few chairs and tables here to rest the legs while having some snacks and coffee or tea. It is possible to order something special for any occasion or to arrange home delivery.

This is my first choice in Riga if I need to grab some pastry, not only because of the great quality but also because of the wide selection of pastry they offer. But I have to be fast in the mornings if croissants are on my breakfast menu as they tend to sell out quickly.
