In a time when vintage clothing prices have skyrocketed around the globe, here in Riga and Latvia we don’t pay a fortune to look stylish. I have a collection of what I call “party shirts” that I got in Humana Vintage for as little as only 1 Euro each. Because of their authentic bright 70s colors and patterns, these eccentric psychotherapist shirts have a healing effect on me and I consider them to be some of my most valuable belongings in this world.
Honestly, I don’t go buy my clothes anywhere else anymore. It isn’t one of those wanna-be vintage shops, this is a legit grandparents flea market that has already shown its worth by surviving through the decades. Everything can be found here, including massive, old-school leather suitcases to stuff full with everything that is impossible to resist buying.
At first, with new collections, the opening prices are higher. Then they gradually get cheaper during a period of 6 weeks, and then, on the last day of the collection, everything costs only 50 cents. New items take the place of the sold ones every day, so it is worth passing by from time to time.
