Once you enter the store, you will be warmly welcomed with a pair of white gloves. Not because it would be one of those freezing cold days in Riga or suddenly you have become newly discovered royalty; it’s because Mr. Page isn’t simply a bookstore, it’s an exhibition hall for books with books. Each is carefully selected from different publishers’ regarding not only the content but also the appearance and is given space to be fully exposed as multi-dimensional work of art.
Opened by 3 literature enthusiastic friends, Mr. Page isn’t concentrating on selling books but rather on enjoying the art of text and design. There are only a few copies of each book, turning Mr. Page into a library rather than a bookstore. Here you can find a wide range of art books, magazines, the best of kids’ literature and quite some rare pearls on different topics.
If Mr. Page captures you as much as it did me, enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine and get your fortune cookie out of ball machine. Mr. Page is also a venue for different cultural events and book club for youngsters and adults.
