This a real secret gem of Riga for everyone who likes antique stuff, from vinyl record players to wall clocks and from old maps to archaic photo cameras.
When you enter antique shop Retro A, you just can’t leave it without buying some interesting object. A lot of people wandering here inside for hours like in museum, touching and lurking a huge collection of antique stuff. By the way the prices here are quite low, and on top of that, you can always negotiate the price, or even get something for free :).
Last time I was here, I found quite a rare drawing of a map of Latvia for kids, which was issued in the period between WWI and WWII, therefore it has unique political borders. For example, at that time, Latvia was a neighbour of Poland.
It is located not far from center on Tallinas street, although there are very few other interesting places around, so this shop must be visited on purpose.
