Nemo Pub is one of those little pubs that you normally wouldn’t even notice. You have to be local to know it existed. First of all, it’s really tiny and sort of squeezed between a restaurant and some other boring place, but when you enter inside, you will see that you weren’t wrong about the size of it: it’s really small. But at the same time, you will find out that sometimes it’s even possible to dance there and that the place is very cozy and friendly, because the owner is at the bar, and knows almost everybody who’s inside. He will probably recognize you from the drinks you ordered, if they are the same as yesterday. I suggest tap beer.
Once he was just the waiter there and then, when the former owner closed the place, he saw that as an opportunity to have his own little pub. He took the risk, the same name, and now he’s opened for business.
Of course, when you come here during warmer periods, you are not obliged to stay inside and listen to us complaining, you can always sit on the terrace and observe the river Rječina, the river Rijeka was named after, and some of the spots that I’ve also written about, Cont square and Križanićeva street. The concentration of great spots there is almost unbearable!
