Dolciaria Alga – Cornetto Holy Trinity

This is the last member of my personal cornetto holy trinity. Together with Dolce Maniera and the Cornettaro, this magic trio is the key to making your every night better and will leave you happy.

Unfortunately, this is the most expensive of the three but their cornettos still go for just one euro. You pay for quality though: unlike the other two, this is just an artisanal lab for cornetti and it does not offer anything else, so you can bet the food here is amazing. There is no counter and the guy gets your cornetto straight from the tray it was cooked on. This is definitely not fancy food (you can find that in the restaurant just next to it, L’Arcangelo) and I am not going to lie to you, once you go home there is a slight chance you will have to sit on the toilet for a little, but it is so worth it. The cream here is just perfect and the “viennesi”, a circular pastry with cream in the middle, are the best you will ever have (look out, they might have some raisins in them).

I know this place is a little shady, but it has received the highest honor a cornetto shop can receive: cops from all over town come here to buy sweets for their night shift. And what can guarantee quality more than that?
