About me
Born in the USSR, raised in Israel, I’ve been living in the Netherlands since 2003, and in Rotterdam since 2009. I am an engineer – a geohydrologist to be exact. I am also a priest in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. As you probably have already guessed, I love exploring and expanding the boundaries.
Why Rotterdam
In the centre of Rotterdam I often see tourists holding a map. They stop at an invisible line and look around them. That’s where their map ends. No attractions are marked beyond this point, so they turn around, assuming there’s nothing of interest there. But some of the best spots are there, hidden, tucked away, sometimes just around the corner. You just need to know what you’re looking for to discover them.
Luckily for you, I’m here to help you in your quest, to find the Rotterdam you didn’t know existed, the Rotterdam that you wouldn’t expect. I hope my spots can inspire you to boldly go where tourists have rarely gone before.
