Around the Witte the With quarter (Schiedamsevest 2-148 where you’ll find some of my favourite restaurants like Gusto and Hopper), next to Margreet Olsthoorn‘s clothes store and close to the Maritime Museum, you will also find The Bagel Bakery.
Go to Bagel Bakery for breakfast in the morning, lunch & high tea at noon and take away during the day. They have an excellent kosher Jewish/Mediterranean food fusion, all reasonably priced. You can choose from different types of bagels with delicious original toppings like hummus or with a salmon burger.
But they serve more than just bagels :-).
Try the Bagel Burger, I like to order the 1 person mezze for when I am not too hungry which is also perfect for vegetarians. Try it and share it with friends like the wonderful tasting of 9 different small dishes (which is the larger mezze) with their delicious home baked (love)bread.
The daily specials can be found on the chalkboard.
If you have a sweet tooth, try their homemade cakes like the kosher Dutch apple crumble.
They have good coffee, organic champagne, wines, a modern interior, great atmosphere and nice staff.
A place not to be missed when you are visiting Rotterdam and you will definitely pass by the Witte de With quarter, a dynamic area with restaurants, galleries and loads of (urban)art to be found in the streets and alleys.
