As a tourist (well, as a human being, too) you want to cherish those special moments. Bomm stands for Best of MoMents, and is specifically designed to give you those memorable moments. Located in Kralingen, an old part of Rotterdam, Bomm somehow feels as if it has always been here. Trendy yet cozy, fashionable but homey, the place smoothly, seemingly effortlessly, manages to be a cafe, a restaurant and a bar, as it specializes in fusion, cherry-picking the best of all worlds.
The menu at Bomm is sophisticated without being pretentious. For lunch, you can have a traditional Dutch ‘kroket’, or a seafood bowl if you feel like a more exotic trip. Dinner menu won’t overwhelm you with options, yet there’s ample choice between veg, fish and meat dishes for fair prices. The local motto is ‘Sharing’, as the Best of MoMents are to be shared, so I warmly recommend the ‘Tasting & Sharing’ options on the menu.
Bomm cheesecake ranks among the tastiest I’ve had (and I have a thing for cheesecakes, so that says a lot), and the Lavazza coffee is really good. And then there’s gin. Well, here it’s Gin. When a bar launches its own brand of gin, you know they’re serious about the drink. With more than 30 different gins available, there’s plenty of choices, to be certain. To me, Bomm lives up to its promise, providing the Best of MoMents throughout the day.
