Every once in a while I have food somewhere, and can’t stop thinking about the food afterwards, wanting to go back to the restaurant every single day. This is the case with Gamasot, even though I have not been back every day, I have been trying to master their kimchi pancake recipe at home. I’m almost there!
Gamasot is a tiny restaurant in the same street as Sunset Cafe, Bokaal, Boguette, just behind Picknick, and only a few minutes away from the impressive Markthal building. With all these popular spots around it you could easily walk past Gamasot without noticing the place, but you shouldn’t.
The Korean food that is served at Gamasot is really good, and always freshly made. The Kim Bap (sushi like rolls) are served with tuna, vegetables or meat and are really delicious. Another must have is the Dosirak: a meal consisting of spicy beef, tasty vegetables, white rice, deep fried shrimp, and sashimi like raw fish. And then of course there is the kimchi pancake (Kimchi Jeon) my absolute favorite. A savory deep fried pancake filled with lots of spicy kimchi, really really good!
Enjoy! And please note that you can only pay in cash.
