Harvest Coffee Brewers is situated roughly between Leuvehaven and one of Rotterdam’s most popular attractions: the impressive Markthal, a few minutes away from lovely Vessel11. Despite this very central and otherwise busy location, the area around Harvest is very quiet, and walking towards Glashaven I was very surprised to find such a nice spot, sort of in ‘the middle of nowhere’.
Harvest is owned by Zjevaun and Loes. The couple met while working together in a high end restaurant and have a shared passion for coffee, high quality products and service, which all come together in Harvest. As soon as you walk inside you immediately notice the great amount of attention that has been paid to everything. The interior is minimalistic but intimate, the big windows offer a great view, the atmosphere and vibe are super welcoming and the service is really friendly and personal. All this positivity continues when you take a look at the menu with a great choice of specialty coffees and mouthwatering breakfast and lunch dishes.
I have a weak spot for burrata, if it’s on the menu I order it, and I can highly recommend that you do the same! The crispy sourdough bread with fresh tomatoes, balsamic and a creamy burrata is a real treat, as is the bread with smashed avocado. I was also very tempted by the French toast, but I managed to resist the urge, for now…
I’m super happy with Harvest Coffee Brewers, it was just what Rotterdam needed!
