While cycling along the beautiful thin road along the Maas that stretches for tens of kilometres, I stumbled upon this small beach area that is perfect if you are looking for a nice, quiet, secluded, sandy beach that’s great as a relaxing and swimming spot. This place is abandoned and taken over by nature. Even though it is a small spot, you’ll find quite a variety of seating options; most of the beach is sandy, but if you want some shade, you can choose to sit under one of the willow trees, which happen to be one my favourite trees. All you need is a towel, a beach umbrella (if you want to hide from the sun), some drinks and snacks, and you’re good to go!
Right next to the beach, you’ll also find a nice nature park, Polder De Esch, that has beautiful paths and is filled with old, high, huge trees that stand tall and proud.
