I hosted a radio show (once), La Reina’s Jukebox, and I needed to head down all the way to the west part of town to the studio.
And as I was live on air from 12:00 to 15:00, I got rather peckish when I finished making another edition.
Fortunately, multi-cultural Nieuwe Binnenweg(street) is located nearby the studio and has plenty to offer foodwise. The Urban Espresso Bar is one of those places here which I like to frequent for food and drinks.
This used to be the second UEB but as the first one changed hands and name, I’m glad there’s still one UEB to go to. If your fave coffee is espresso, then you’ll be in the right spot. No worries, even latte drinkers (like me) can get their brew provided by Giraffe coffee roasters.
The place is very light and bright and not too big, which can cause some hassle in finding an empty seat, but there’s always the large table to find a place at.
There’s plenty of choices foodwise for a big or small appetite, ranging from (pan)cakes to elaborate savoury sandwiches and salads.
Since it is located at a busy street and corner, it’s also a great spot for people watching from the inside and outdoors on the nice terrace.
