Two first Babaganoush spots were opened in two MEGA malls outside St. Pete. This is the third and I like it the most. Everything has a special twist here: the shawarma is made with both chicken and duck meat, the lemonade is a little bit spicy, there’s coffee made on the sand…
It can get crowded and noisy here in the evening but not as much and in Bekizer, the earlier spot opened by the same group. Vosstania street is much quieter than Rubinsteina one. So even though the food is similar, I choose Babaganoush to hang out, meet friends — and eat, of course.
There also is a really fun dish, it’s called ‘smashed potato’ with sour cream sauce. The potato is baked in the jacket, and then its woooof — smashed to the really thin potato layer on the plate. It’s as if somebody had just fallen down and landed on your potato.
