Botanic Garden – Eternal summer in the city

The local nature is tough and teaches us how to survive more than how to relax. However, locals have this secret place in case we need to see green color and breath pure oxygen.  This is the Botanic Garden, the oldest nature museum in the city. The story of this spot started a long time ago, when Peter the Great, the founder of the city, established this special herbal plot for pharmaceutical aims.

The Botanic Garden still has scientific vibes. It turns out that normally you have to wait for a guide to enter the orangeries. Luckily, now when there are many guests who want to see exotic flowers (regularly during the weekends), the garden switches to walking mode. So the visit looks like a walk through the jungle. I believe it’s more interesting and also may help you to avoid any possible language issues. My favorite place is the location of the carnivorous plants 🙂

There are several routes in the tropical and subtropical orangeries, but only the subtropical route could be opened to the walk without the special guide. Well, it’s a unique experience, and if you plan a visit, I would suggest you check the Facebook page first and ask employees about the garden schedule.

P.S. Don’t miss a chance to walk around the park and see gardens of roses and fleurs-de-lis, and the birds that live there.
