Even if we have Bonch and King Pong in the area of St. Petersburg, it still lacked local, cute, special spots. After all, it’s the tourist center of the city, next to Hermitage and Dvortsovaya square. What did you expect? But Brother (you’d say “Braht” in Russian, it’s written as Брáт on the door plate) emerged – and it’s one of the nicest (and vegetarian!) spots for daydreaming and meeting friends.
To get there, you have to find that door plate and ring the bell. Then, go inside and up the stairs and to the left. Someone will greet you – and if it’s winter, they will ask you to leave your coat at the wardrobe next to the door.
The spot is not so huge, so there might be no free tables. Anyway, it has somehow always worked for me: someone might have just left or I might have to wait a bit and then find a place to sit down.
The menu works for everyone, in my opinion. Soft food, soups and pasta, smoothies and rich teas – everything you need to feel better after walking around (Dvortsovaya square is rather windy and Hermitage takes a lot of energy from a wanderer).

They sell some merch like t-shirts and socks if you’d like to support them and get a nice souvenir.
