I like this place because you can be certain about the climate in St. Pete only somewhere inside — and here there’s a lot of greenery, so one can breathe like they are in a wet forest, not in a coffee place. It’s not a huge building, neither are the plants rare, but it could be nice for a date or it can be used as a hiding place in the rain.
But there definitely is a coffee spot inside (on the second floor, “Orangery” cafeteria) — and if you buy some food there to go with your coffee, you save money on a Glasshouse entrance ticket.
The coffee spot timetable is different from the glasshouse’s and looks like this: Sun – Thu 11:00 – 21:00, Fri – Sat 11:00 – 22:00.
In the glasshouse, you can take pictures with your smartphone for free, but if you have a serious DSLR camera, you have to buy a permission (see prices here). There are professional photographers in the city that use this glasshouse as a beautiful background so the greenhouse managers had to put a price on it).
This spot is so unique that some people even renit it out for a day for a wedding or birthday. I’ve been lucky and haven’t come across closed doors yet, but it’s wise to check the timetable changes on their VK fan page (it’s in Russian so use Google Translate if needed).
