So, everyone knows that Russian ballet is a thing. I wasn’t allowed to learn ballet in childhood because of my poor stretching skills, but I did go to choreography lessons and used ballet bars all right! Demi-plié, grand-batman. I remember this!
And so I come to Swan not only for the great coffee with carrot cake, but also to look at the ballet bar near the huge mirror on the wall and think about life in general.
How we are taught to strive and do beautiful, complicated moves, yet we shouldn’t show how painful it is inside. How the vulnerability trend of recent years has shifted my perception of how much I am allowed to show from what I experience inside.
I guess you will have your thoughts between the ballet bar and a smoothie. This spot is great for taking a moment from a busy life.
I also enjoy both the fancy interior and the building’s red brick walls outside; so classy!
