Do you belive in divination? I sometimes feel I need to, especially with Unpredictable Predictor appearing in the city centre of St.Petersburg 2 years ago.
This clown-mime on stilts is usually standing either at Eliseev shop (like in the picture) or at the House of Books at Griboedov channel in the evenings. During Christmas time he exchange his costume to that of Father Frost. If you place a donation into his suitcase you can take a paper with a prediction in exchange. He says there are 99 unique ones written and the 100th is always done by his small daughter.
In 2016 he distributed over 150,000 ones to St. Petersburg locals and guests. Each paper with the prediction is rolled up with a red wool fiber which is believed to be a mascot in many cultures. The divinations are always positive and the Unpredictable Predictor is already named as a symbol of good in St. Petersburg. And do not be surprised to see several ones across the Nevsky prospect – the founder is now trying to spread the good all over the city – I once managed to see 3 predictors within 10 minutes walking. So you may choose your favourite one.
