If you are local, you don’t need to read this article, because you probably already know about Volchek’s bakeries. A couple of years ago it was just some bakeries in residential areas, today there are almost 100 bakeries all over the city.
Pastries and bread are cheap, fresh and tasty.
The bakery on Chkalovsky avenue is my favorite: it’s close to my house, not far from the metro station, and there is good coffee made by baristas—not all bakeries have a coffee shop with baristas and good coffee machines. This is the place where I buy coffee, where I go to eat in the middle of the day. I also buy bread and pastries here. If I ride a bike in the city, I know that I can always go to the nearest Volchek Bakery, take a cup of hot tea for 30 rubles and something to eat.
I must say that bakeries are not the best place to hang out with company for a long time. There are few seats, no wifi. The flow of people is very large.
All the bakeries open at 08:00 and often this is the only place in the area where you can have breakfast early in the morning.
From 21:30 to 22:00, everything is sold at a discount of 33%.
