This spot was contributed to my collection by my Moscow friends. “So, you should admit, it’s absolute fun when city guests show you, the local, nice places to go! And by the way, Warszawa makes the best sandwiches ever!”, said a friend of mine. Basically, it’s not totally true. My friend now lives in Moscow, but was born here in St.Pete. So, he is partly local :). But the idea was accepted and now I’m writing a post about Warsawa bar.
The spot is very cozy, with dark green walls and hefty furniture under the pale lights. The chandelier reminded me of my grandma, who had almost the same one. I suppose every USSR child could experience this. The portrait of Roman Polanski greets every guest entering Warzawa.
The bar is well known for its sandwiches, cocktails and fair pricing despite the fancy location. Sandwiches are nice. Once, around 01:00 we found out that there weren’t any left, but the bar keepers said that was sort of an emergency situation. So, yep, the Warszawa sandwiches are nice, my friend was right!
If you are in the mood to have a drink, you have a choice. Several types of beers, including local craft ale, porter and regular lager, wine and cocktails to make you feel good tonight. Strong and curious ones could try Riga’s Spring cocktail with vanilla vodka and melon liqueur.
