When Wave opened for the first time in the city, I was wondering what was driving people to open bars, cafes, and restaurants. So I met the owners of Wave, and we become friends. In 2014 Daria and Alexey, newlyweds, were available every day at their burger spot for chatters like me.
Now, they’ve moved on to sunny California (as the couple would like to open the next Wave restaurant there). But they do keep an eye on this Wave spot in St. Pete! Their team works together: for example, when they had to move to another building due to technical issues, their employees teamed up and prepared the new location in 10 days. So here is the new Wave on Griboedova nab., good as ever.
Try their burgers (of course). The classic burger comes in different sizes: 100, 150, 250, 500 g (patty weight). There is red bean patty for vegans and crabcake with mango sauce on a black bun, which I prefer. The side fries (or salad) is free.
Draft cider and draft beer are at your service. It’s St. Petersburg, after all, even if you’re at a surf spot (where even the lights on the ceiling are on a surf board!).
Try their special dessert if there’s room in your tummy (I guess not though).
– they can cut your burger in half if you came with a friend and both of you cannot eat even the “smallest” size by yourself,
– they speak English! There are a lot of English-speaking customers, too.
