This indie bookstore sells books only in Russian (come to Anglia (England) to buy books in other languages). But!
And it’s this huge BUT.
There are a lot of cute magnets, postcards, pins and other small and rather cheap stuff. This store works with small publishing houses and individuals who have something nice to sell. Say, brooch with Dostoevsky’s face.
This is my favourite bookstore in the whole city. They work with small and underground publishers, they organize movie nights and writer evenings, they are keen to help and know a lot about reading. It’s a warm and welcoming place for anyone who is as big a bookworm as I am.
You could enter to see the nice book covers and open random books to smell their fragrance (I do this from time to time to select a new book to read). Have fun!
Also, Fontanka river embankment is a very nice place to walk, take pictures and discover new spots in any weather and in any direction.
