When I buy gifts for friends who have come to town for a visit, I try to find something uniquely local. Everything at 3 Fish Studio fills that need.
The skies are often overcast near ocean beach but the space feels open and sunny. Maybe it’s the art. It’s whimsical and colourful. It’s friendly and fun. It’s California!
The owners, Annie and Eric moved to San Francisco, fell in love with the city and one another. This artistic couple has created an oasis in the outer Sunset.
The Studio is just a few blocks away from the beach. It’s a good stop on your way to a local cafe after a foggy day on the sand. Locals really appreciate this addition to the neighbourhood.
When you stop by, you’ll get to meet Annie and Eric and maybe even see them at work. Check the schedule for printmaking classes. The post cards here are much cooler than anything you’ll find in other parts of the city, except the California Historical Society located downtown which carries fun pieces featuring their artwork. If you don’t have enough room in your suitcase, buy online and have it shipped home!
