I discovered the Citigroup Center Atrium when I moved offices from one part of San Francisco to the Financial District. While taking my dog for a walk one day, I passed by this open marble and glass atrium and was instantly smitten. The Citigroup Center Atrium is a daytime spot, only open during business hours Monday through Friday and it’s the perfect place to have lunch, a coffee-pick-me-up or just sit and admire the architecture.
The Citigroup Center Atrium has been a regular lunch spot for me to go with my dog. I either bring my own lunch or buy one of the crepes from the Moolicious walk-up window inside the atrium. According to sf.curbed.com, this public space was created by hollowing out the former 1912 Paris-London Bank Building. Regardless of its origins, I appreciate that this glorious space was created for public use and will continue to enjoy its beauty and peacefulness.
