Lotta’s Bakery – Sweets & antiques

Lotta’s Bakery is part bakery and part antiques store (called Sweet Antiques). The very first time I walked by, their pretty pink sidewalk sign beckoned me in. My boyfriend was in the mood for carrot cake and I was looking for something sweet too, so we stopped in.

What I discovered is that not only does Lotta’s bakery bake up a storm, there are so many neat antique collectibles throughout the entire space. As soon as we walked in the door, there was a glass case filled with antiques like really cool-shaped martini glasses and other tchotchkes, old phonographs and lamps on a shelf and vintage hat boxes stacked on another.

Richard (shown in this photo), is the antiques guy. Earl, is the baker. I can confirm that the carrot cake and my lemon meringue tart were a hit. Down the corridor of the store and in the back room there are vintage furs, artwork, neon signs and more.

Lotta’s Bakery (and Sweet Antiques) is a one-stop-sweet-spot for a quick snack, a dessert to take home or to order for future event! The antique collectibles are a bonus. If you like sweets and interesting old stuff, this is the spot!
