I recognize that the world has gone digital, and many of those big box bookstores have gone belly up, but there remain a few old school newsstands still in the business of supplying periodicals. My choice for the best in San Francisco has got to be Smoke Signals on Polk St.
This little place possesses one helluva magazine rack with over 2.000 titles from all around the globe. I usually try and visit at least once a month to review the latest issues. You can peruse the magazine rack for some of the world’s premier fashion and design houses, but they won’t come cheap as some fetch between $ 50 to $ 100 per issue. But don’t let sticker shock stop you from scanning the selections. I like to come here for their world affairs magazines and journals, and I’m confident you’ll find something that suits your fancy as well.
If you’re inclined, be sure and checkout Smoke Signals array of hard to find cigars.
