I walk by Toast Eatery every day on my way to work, and there is always a line out the door. This neighborhood haunt is a true gem. Toast combines the classic diner ambiance with high-quality food and most importantly: breakfast cocktails, wine, and beer.
With two Noe Valley Locations, Toast is known for their all-day breakfast servings, classic deli sandwiches, and hand crafted burgers. I prefer the 24th street location in the heart of Noe Valley, situated near boutiques, bookstores, and cafes.
Toast has something for everyone. No- but really. Our party was made of up of gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian and everyone found something on the menu that wasn’t a house salad.
You can get your burger made with Angus beef, chicken, turkey, Boca, or veggie patties, all on a slightly toasted bun. If you aren’t in the mood for breakfast or a burger, the grilled cheese is a must! It’s served on sourdough bread (a local staple) with pepper jack and cheddar cheese. Go big and add avocado.
Toast is only open from 07:00-17:00 so it isn’t a great spot for dinner. It can also be hard to get a table during traditional breakfast/brunch times on the weekend, 09:00-12:30. I would suggest either going during the week or after 13:00 on weekends.
