ADK was the first doner I ever tried in Sarajevo and it is still among my favourite ones. It’s located just across the Sebilj – fountain in the center of Bascarsia, so it’s quite easy to find. Usually it’s always full during the day, since there are only 5-6 tables inside and about four outside.

I love their small doner, extra spicy and if you like spicy too it’s something you have to emphasize to them. The difference between their small, middle and big portion is in the amount of meat, not actual size. It’s really a quite uninviting place but I really like it. It has some charm, almost as an institution in the old town. I’ve been going to this place more than 8 years now and it’s perfect when I’m in the mood for a quick snack.

They have two big assets: doner and the view. When it’s warm outside, it’s especially nice to order a portion, sit across the street from it on the stairs of Sebilj fountain and enjoy Bascarsia’s atmosphere. You should definitely try that!:)
