Oh, I love Boccone and their ram steak/beef steak sandwich. It’s a real deal for all the people who enjoy a good piece of meat in an easy-going form. I guess it’s the only sandwich for which you need a knife and fork, because of the size, not for the sake of good manners.

Boccone is located in the very city center, near the Orthodox Cathedral. It’s quite a small place, which gets crowded around lunch time and in the evening. No wonder, because the food is amazing, the staff is nice and the service is top-notch and fast. No matter how crowded it is, they will make sure you get your order on time, which makes them reliable when you’re on a tight schedule.

You will make the right choice with anything on the menu, the aforementioned sandwich is so good, the pizza is great and they have many meat dishes and a fantastic fish soup – it’s a delicious mix. The food is prepared in front of the guests and you can see the whole process. Food together with good wine makes the stay even more pleasant.

If you follow the recommendation of Anthony Bourdain to always look for restaurants with checkered tablecloths, under the presumption that there you can find delicious food eaten by locals at moderate prices, then be sure he was right – this is exactly that kind of place.
