Bossa Nova Cafe is a brand new spot in Sarajevo and it’s where people with a passion for dance come together to share their feeling. Actually, this concept came as a joyful refreshment for those who prefer a bit more of an active evening out as well as for the local community of professional and amateur dancers. This cafe is located in Vilsonovo Promenade, which makes it even more attractive for me because I can take a serene walk from my home in the city center. Finally, I have a great recommendation when being asked about the place to go dancing in Sarajevo. Don’t get me wrong, Sarajevo does have a few night clubs but we’re not talking about that kind of dancing here.
Certain evenings are reserved for certain dance events. Sunday, for example, is the time for Argentine tango when the passion and the beauty of the moves create a delightful mood even if you’re not participating in the dance but just observing while having a drink. People here are of various age, friendly, openminded and easy to start a conversation with. So whether you’re into salsa, tango, kizomba, bachata or just in a mood for an evening outside of the city center, the harmonic and relaxed atmosphere of Bossa Nova may be the perfect option.
