There are a few places in Sarajevo where you can spend your day enjoying a full view of this city but for me Kamarija is a very refreshing and unique little place. It is located at a two minute walk from Yellow Bastion and it is easily found by just following the signs. You’ll be surprised by its location, because it looks like a little, white tree house.
This time you’ll enjoy both the exterior and the interior. Even though it’s conceptualized more like an outdoor cafe there is an enclosed part too. All around you are trees and shade and before you there is an exquisite view of Sarajevo. It’s like a relaxation epicenter, no crowd, no city noise, just nature and you. And you’ll love the music too, a combination of pop-rock evergreens, Latin and Gypsy music.
They offer non alcoholic drinks, some quite tasty and refreshing squeezed mix drinks and as a house speciality wheat and cream. The thing you’ll notice right away is the friendly and polite staff and they always make sure everything is as you want it to be.
I really can’t choose which part of the day (especially on a sunny day) is the best time to come here, early morning to watch how the city awakes, noon to take a break or evening to watch the sunset. One thing I’m sure of is you’ll enjoy your stay anyway.
