If you ask anyone to recommend a place for a night out in Sarajevo, one of them will tell you about the pubs in the city center. Since there are a lot of pubs in Sarajevo, you might get a bit lost with the tough decision on which to choose. You can always visit them all, jumping like a bee from a flower to a flower…or you can just choose one and go to the City pub. City pub has been my choice for years, sometimes not as often, other times more frequently. But I really love this place.

What I like about City pub is their variety. It’s a good place for daytime coffee but also to have a good night out. I usually stumble upon those great nights by chance. I love when they organize live music shows, which are usually during the week and not just on the weekends, mostly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Live music varies from funky bands, pop bands, rock, jazz, etc. Their music choice is often really good and when they organize live music on working days and if I happen to be there, I usually end up having a great time…

City pub is located in the city center, right across from the hotel Europe so you can’t miss it. This is probably the most often recommended pub by locals and therefore it’s also mostly visited by locals. Visit it during the week and you’ll like this easygoing atmosphere!
