Imagine something that triggers very positive feelings in you — wouldn’t you like to evoke those feelings as much as possible? For Sarajevo, its trigger is Vucko, the mascot for the Winter Olympic games held here back in 1984. In that most important positive time for Sarajevo, Vucko represented union, happiness and magic.
These days, there are many reminiscent things about Vucko, that wolf mascot with the good heart. For some, it is a memory of things they have experienced, and for others it is something we wish we had. One of my favourite places with that vibe is relatively new in town, Gastro pub Vucko. In a very short time it’s become a hip & vibrant place for easy-going hanging out with friends.
The atmosphere is very positive and laid back with more than 60 types of local and international beer and super delicious food. I often go there, usually after work, before all the rush starts later and the tables fill up. Those relatively early afternoons, with a couple of beers and great snacks, turn into a night out… just like that, spontaneously. The food selection is really good and after a couple of rounds you will really enjoy some very tasty bites with fun service. Vucko’s atmosphere does represent Sarajevo, the way it really is.
Just as mascot Vucko represented magic back in the day, the new Vucko gives out the same vibe, for remembering the past, dreaming about the future and truly enjoying the moment. Cheers to that! 🙂
