Kutcha – A handful of love woven into the design

If you’ve read through my other articles, you might have caught my interest in concept stores. I do love them and I’m delighted to have more than one or two of my favourites right here in my hometown. Sarajevo truly is a place of creative people and one of them is architect Adna Ahmedić who created Kutcha Concept Store based on her passion for furniture restoration. Like any other store of this kind, Kutcha too has its unique story. The idea here is to create and maintain a harmonious and cheerful home atmosphere, and that’s exactly what you feel when you come here.

Talking about warm, pleasant home vibe makes sense because the main handcrafted goods sold here are remarkable pieces of furniture, big and small, home decor such as lamps, pillows, curtains, and pottery. Of course, there are other impressive, very creative designs manufactured by local artists that include jewelry, kid’s clothes and toys, books, pet couture, paintings, prints…

Well, the home wouldn’t be so pleasant if it didn’t have a back yard, and I’m sure it is the most powerful asset of this whole story simply because it’s isolated from the outside world and you easily forget that you’re in the city center. Kutcha’s people often throw great indoor and outdoor gatherings and parties, so keep your eyes open when you’re in town and do make sure to stop by to have a drink, dance, chat or maybe even decide to stay here forever :).
