Sushi San is not just a restaurant that serves outstanding sushi but an experience that allows you to feel and appreciate the art of food. This petite restaurant is extremely clean and minimalistic yet full of vibrant energy coming from the chef’s love and dedication to the style of food with a great tradition behind it. He even grows his ingredients and prepares delicious pickled ginger, radish, carrot, cucumber to add to his skillset.
I’ve only tried some vegan sushi once before I got dragged to Sushi San to celebrate a close friend’s birthday. I couldn’t stand the thought of even seeing sushi again but this place made the previous fiasco disappear and brought a completely new experience of food consumption into my life. The freshness of the ingredients, the way of serving, let alone watching the whole process of preparation right in front of you is just soothing.
The place has only six seats and they don’t take reservations but don’t let that discourage you. You might be the one they’re waiting for.
