When I first visited Theatre Caffe I thought ”wow, this is cool, different and it kinda reminds me of Central Park.” (Coffee place from the TV show ”Friends”.) I’m not quite sure why the Theatre bears a resemblance to that place, but the reasons might be the brick walls and those two yellow armchairs which are a reminder of Central Perk’s well known orange sofa.
The interior is industrial and nicely conceptualized and I’m pretty sure you won’t find something similar anywhere else in Sarajevo. Besides the interior, music is the second thing that’s made Theatre my regular spot. They choose VH1 as a source of music, and with all those playlists everyone can find something that suits them.
Because of its central location you’ll be able to see different generations (from high school kids to middle aged people) on a coffee break or a night out. Interesting thing is that a lot of local people failed to notice how great this place is, so even now I get to surprise someone when I take them to the Theatre. They offer some quite tasty cakes and pancakes (with Nutella or cheese) but apart from natural, squeezed fruit juices and regular drinks you won’t find any alcohol here.
In my opinion, the best time to visit is around 18:00 because it’s less crowded and somehow really suitable for chatting with friends or relaxing after a hard day’s work.
