With my infinite wisdom on the subject, I can without a doubt say Neon Boots has the best bathroom for tipsy selfies in Seattle. Lit only by neon pink lights with wall-to-wall mirrors, it’s impossible not to snap a quick pic, extremely unique from everything else on your photo roll.
This is not the only reason I adore Neon Boots! Located in Belltown, the entire atmosphere is glossy Palm Springs meets gothic dive bar. Think pastel walls, hanging skeletons and gold-framed paintings depicting desert scenes. Two TVs above the bar are always playing something interesting (to date I’ve seen Jim Henson’s “The Dark Crystal” and Japanese horror film “Hausu”) and they have an excellent photo booth. Plus with multiple large and small tables available, I’ve never struggled to find a seat.
Best of all, the drinks are cheap. $5 wells, $5.50 drafts and $9-10 for a house cocktail. I’ve yet to try their food but have heard good things, especially about the meatball sandwich and the “Grilled Cheesar.”
Looking for a complete night out? This is my favorite bar to patron before catching a show at one of the many venues within walking distance, including The Crocodile, The Moore Theatre and Showbox At The Market (check the article).
