I always love a place with a good terrace, and Casa is my all-time favorite place ever since it opened, and the fact that they decided to expand the place and fully adjust it to accommodate smokers, even in winter, is a sheer win-win strategy. The terrace is now twice the size it was, and is almost fully covered and heated for those cold, cold Macedonian seasons.
The originality of the place won me over from the very beginning. The service is great, the coffee is amazing and the price is right.
In my opinion the best of things is that the people that go there are the right kind of urban crowd any owner would want. During the day the atmosphere is relaxed and unlike most places in Skopje there is literally no music to be heard, so you can actually have your coffee quietly and talk to your friends.
At night, the setting is a bit different. The places to sit are mostly gone and are substituted with high bar tables for a bit more energetic mood. The music is usually not at all loud, so it’s an ideal place for me when I just want to hang out.
