This restaurant-meets-club bar opened only 2 years ago but immediately became a hot spot for concert venues and exhibitions. Its interior is quite big and divided in two parts. One part is the upscale restaurant with its minimalist white and black interior. The other part is the comfy lounge bar with a stage for artistic performances or music gigs. The two are connected by a large bar offering every drink possible.
While the restaurant holds a calm vibe, the club is the complete opposite, with DJs playing all kinds of different music or bands performing during weekends. MKC is popular with the city’s more mature folk, as I believe it is an excellent opportunity for networking.
It is part of a youth cultural center, meaning you could expect alternative clientele, but the chic element adds to the picture. The bar is a perfect after-work spot, the food is excellent, the wine list is extensive, and as jazz plays over the speakers, you will be charmed all the way. For me, the place provides both privacy and comfort combined with live entertainment, which is an environment I cannot find elsewhere.
The leading words for this bar is: Taste. Drink. Enjoy. That covers it all.
