I believe Boom! Burgers started as the experiment of one serial entrepreneur Adel Zakout. Nobody knew if the Bulgarian market would appreciate quality (and also pricier) burgers. Burgers used to be the cheap hangover street food. But a couple of years later it turns out that it’s not only his friends that flock to the place.
The reason behind it – what they call with pride “gourmet burgers” with quality meat that they bring from abroad. I must say the result is pretty tasty and soon a couple of other quality burger places opened trying to replicate their success. However, Boom! remains the original. The place itself is pretty cosy, service is relatively fast and reliable.
Aside from their delicious menu (check it out here), there are very often new editions and trials such as the ‘provolone cheeseburger’ or the curious ‘peanut butter burger’. Whether you are up for adventure or you want to play it safe with some of the classics, Boom! has something to offer everyone.
They came up with the pretty neat idea to equip a truck and start going around the country with it. A really good plan given that most of the population of Sofia leaves the capital for the seaside, mountains or some of the numerous festivals around the country. Check out their truck at the Spirit of Burgas festival, for example. They also have two more locations in Sofia and one in Vilnius.
