Who would’ve guessed that one of the most beautifully and carefully curated galleries in Sofia (and likely in the whole country) is in fact also a café-restaurant! And what’s more, they impress with a menu of vegetarian and vegan dishes and desserts that show an understanding of both seasonal foods and the health benefits of each ingredient. In DaOrganic! They bake bread on the spot according to old recipes and traditions and a big part of their food philosophy is to follow the authentic Bulgarian way – the way our ancestors prepared and appreciated food as medicine and as a gift from Nature.

The whole restaurant and garden of DaOrganic! function as a gallery, showcasing fantastic Bulgarian artists’ work. They have plenty of space for big groups, but solo customers feel just as comfortable, surrounded by colourful art, that brings harmony and good vibrations to the space. The garden is secluded and cosy and the cat, Tiger, has never missed a chance to come and greet me, often staying on the chair next to me to take a well-deserved nap.

DaOrganic! offers hot drinks and the Bulgarian DABOV café all day, which makes it a perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is one of my favourite spots in Sofia and the staff there always goes the extra mile to make you feel special and cared for! Make sure to check it out!
