Terminal 1 is one of the biggest alternative music scenes in Sofia, and by my opinion, not having many other contenders. And it’s one of the largest night clubs in Sofia as well. Spread out over two floors, the upper one surrounds the empty space downstairs, so you have a view wherever you are. Terminal 1 has three bars, fussball tables, inner terrace, lobby and of course enough space to ‘get down’.
Various artists from the alternative stage jam every week, as after all, rock has a slight dominance.
Unlike almost every other club in Sofia, in Terminal 1 you could be told to wait at the doors if it is full inside. It is really a rare strategy for a club in Bulgaria, as common practice is “Get them all in until even the corridor is full”.
By my observation, such places traditionally gather a somewhat more musically involved audience (taste-wise), so in a few words Terminal 1 has not yet become too mainstream. Let’s hope they will keep it that way.
It is located meters away from Garibaldi square on 1 Angel Kantchev Str., just across from Vitamin B craft beer bar.
